Bread

After The Liver Birds (1969–78) and Butterflies (1978–83), legendary comedy writer Carla Lane created another long-running and hugely popular sitcom with Bread, a colourful slice of Liverpudlian working-class life. The Boswell family are a tight-knit, Catholic clan trying to make ends meet in Thatcher's Britain by any means necessary, from dodgy cash-in-hand jobs and DHSS scams to wheeling-dealing schemes that would make Del Boy proud.
