In this sequel series to the hugely popular Open All Hours, Sir David Jason heads the cast as Granville who has now inherited the shop from his beloved Uncle Arkwright. Granville, once the shop assistant himself, is now helped out by his son Leroy, a good-looking lad with more female admirers than Granville ever had. But if times have changed, some of the customers haven't, and (retired) nurse Gladys Emmanuel and the Black Widow are still regulars.
