Sitcom inspired by classic drama Upstairs, Downstairs from the pens of UK sitcom legends Jimmy Perry and David Croft, the writing team behind Dad's Army, It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Hi-de-Hi! Starring many of the alumni from Perry and Croft’s earlier work, the comedy contrasts the lives of an aristocratic family and their servants and, at an unusual 50 minutes run time, develops the sitcom format with more complex plotting, deeper characterisation and a serialised structure.
