Weekend Binges on Gold

Spending the weekend bingeing on something that?s 100% good for you as Gold shows whole series of favourite comedies.

Gavin and Stacey

Gold is giving you a 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity' (unless we do it again) to watch some classic modern sitcoms from start to finish every weekend this Spring with I'm Alan Partridge, The Office, Gavin & Stacey and Miranda.

Yes, you might well own the DVD boxset but, come on, who wants to spend all evening trapesing over to the DVD player and back again? Let us do the hard part - just sit back and get ready to laugh every Saturday and Sunday night from 9pm.

Our back-to-back binges kick off with I'm Alan Partridge, which finds the failed TV broadcaster working the graveyard shift on local radio and living at a Travel Tavern, where he has to put up with the sniggers of the bored and sarky staff. Then Gold returns to the Slough branch of Wernham-Hogg to check in with The Office's David Brent (Ricky Gervais) and the team for the sublimely cringe-worthy fly-on-the-wall sitcom.

Next is Miranda, Miranda Hart's farcical, affectionate, laugh out loud creation that introduces us to a woman desperate to fit in, and lead a normal life, followed by
Gavin And Stacey, James Corden and Ruth Jones' award-winning sitcom that focuses on the long-distance relationship between the aforementioned Gavin - an Essex boy - and Stacey - a Welsh girl.
