Only Fools and Horses

Peckham's Finest

Stick and pony in your pocket and fetch the suitcase from the van, meet the regulars you might bump into around Hooky Street, or propping up the bar at The Nag's Head.

  • Del Boy (David Jason)

    Del Boy (David Jason)

From exploding blow-up dolls to bottling tap water, Del Boy Trotter is the dodgiest, dodgy dealer in all of South London. But with a suitcase full of hopes, a bright yellow Reliant Robin full of dreams and an endless list of get-quick-rich schemes up his sleeve, Del is ever the optimist, never letting his low income, grotty flat and bad luck get him down, confident that 'this time next year we'll be millionaires'.

  • Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst)

    Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst)

Rodney to his friends, 'Rodders' to Del Boy and, well, 'Dave' to Trigger. Rodney is Del's less confident, more pessimistic younger brother. Always unsure of his brother's dodgy dealings he always ends up involved whether he likes it or not. While not as street smart as his older bruv Rodney is the brains behind Trotter's Independent Traders thanks to his two GCE's...in maths and art. The pair have had their ups and downs but they've stuck it out together.

  • Grandad (Lennard Pearce)

    Grandad (Lennard Pearce)

Described in the very first episode as an 'out of work lamplighter hoping gas'll make a comeback', Edward Trotter is Del and Rodney's paternal grandfather. He's a grumpy, scruffy old man, not to mention a hapless chef. He once cooked a Christmas turkey with the bag of giblets still inside. But while Grandad might not be the smartest man ever, he can be extremely crafty when required.

  • Uncle Albert (Buster Merryfield)

    Uncle Albert (Buster Merryfield)

Taken in by Del Boy and Rodney at Grandad's funeral after it became apparent he has nowhere else to live, Uncle Albert is a bushy-bearded, salty old sea dog. 'During the war...' he was in the navy, and much to Del an Rodney's annoyance, is always happy to tell one of his many, many wartime stories, whether they're true or not. He didn't have much luck though. He served on seven ships that sunk, two of which during peacetime.

  • Trigger (Roger Lloyd-Pack)

    Trigger (Roger Lloyd-Pack)

An old school yard pal of Del Boy, Trigger is kind, loyal and friendly. A road sweeper by trade, he is perhaps one of the dimmest people ever to prop up the bar of the Nag's Head, often getting himself confused over the simplest of things. He has always called Rodney 'Dave' and is proud to have owned the same broom for 20 years. It's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles.

  • Boycie & Marlene (John Challis & Sue Holderness)

Boycie & Marlene (John Challis & Sue Holderness)

Boycie is the local second-hand car dealer and the most successful of the Nag's Head regulars, something he's very keen to remind everyone of. But his arrogance, suave demeanour and expensive clothes doesn't stop him being the punch line to many of Del's jokes. Marlene meanwhile, Boycie's long-suffering wife, enjoys the finer things in life and after her time as a bit of a 'go-er' in her younger years, has settled into the expensive lifestyle Boycie has kept her in.

  • Raquel (Tessa Peake-Jones)

    Raquel (Tessa Peake-Jones)

Raquel is an aspiring actress, entertainer and model, and first met Del through a dating agency. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding with a birthday cake and stripper, the two lost touch for a year. But after a chance meeting in Margate thanks to an exploding bus, Del and Raquel fell in love all over again. She moved in to Nelson Mandela House and in 1991 she gave birth to Damian.

  • Cassandra (Gwyneth Strong)

    Cassandra (Gwyneth Strong)

The shy, quiet but career-driven Cassandra first met Rodney at a computer training course, and immediately left a lasting impression. Despite Rodney lying about where he lived, leading to a very awkward moment on his part, love quickly blossomed. But their relationship hasn't been without its tests, having to cope not only with trial separation but a miscarriage too. But finally, after years of trying, Cassie and Rodders were blessed with a child in in 2003.
