It's got one of the best-loved theme tunes in TV history and now Happy Days is brand new to Gold on weekdays at 2pm from Monday 7 July.

The 1950s-set US sitcom follows the fortunes of Milwaukee teenager Richie Cunningham, his father Howard, mother Marion and younger sister Joanie.

But, of course, the star of the show is ladies' man The Fonz, a bike riding, high school dropout who is a friend of Cunninghams and would eventually go on to become the show's central character.

Happy Days ran for an impressive 255 episodes between 1974 and 1984 and spawned an incredible seven spin-off series - the most successful of which were Laverne & Shirley and Mork & Mindy, which starred a pre-fame Robin Williams.
