Christmas with the Vicar of Dibley

It's that time of year again - the time when we celebrate Christmas on Gold. And this year, we get to look back on our favourite Christmas episodes with the Vicar of Dibley.

The Christmas Lunch Incident

The Christmas Lunch Incident

It is Christmas in Dibley, and vicar Geraldine is about to pay a heavy price for Christian kindness. To avoid hurting anyone's feelings she agrees to attend not one, not two, but three Christmas lunches. That's a lot of turkey. What follows is a Christmas nightmare lunch with her verger Alice and her less clever sister, a Brussels sprouts-eating competition, and Jim Trott telling the least funny 'knock, knock' joke in the world.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

It's been 10 years since Geraldine arrived in Dibley, and the villagers set out to celebrate in ways that only they could dream of. A chocolate fountain, copious amounts of wine, and the Archbishop of Canterbury make this a Christmas to remember! The unexpected arrival of a scantily dressed supermodel (Rachel Hunter) only complicates proceedings and leads to the whole village believing their vicar is gay.

Vicar in White

Vicar in White

Wedding preparations are under way and at last the Vicar will be attending in a dress, not a dog collar. Or will she? Unfortunately the vicar Geraldine has chosen for the service seems a bit too fond of her. And the villagers have waited till now to suggest their worst two ideas ever - a sky-diving wedding and something far, far worse. Amid the chaos will Geraldine finally become Mrs Kennedy?
