Irish comedian Brendan O'Carroll stars as Ireland's funniest and proudest mother, Agnes Brown. A foul-mouthed Dublin matriarch who interferes in the lives of her unruly brood and friends, while also running a fruit and veg stall and caring for her aged father-in-law.
In this first series, Agnes Brown tries to solve her son Dermot's relationship problems by giving his girlfriend advice, and Granddad ends up in hospital after Dr Flynn's effort to read his temperature goes awry. Elsewhere, preparations for Maria (Fiona O'Carroll)'s wedding are well underway and Mrs Brown is looking forward to the upcoming nuptials. Unfortunately, the groom is less than enamoured with the whole idea.
