Christmas Crackers Promotion with Gold

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility: Open to residents of UK (England, Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over, excluding UKTV employees, all Home Retail Group employees and their immediate families and any other agencies or persons connected to this promotion.
   

2. To Participate: Each transaction of £30 or more which includes a Christmas item will be rewarded with a box of six mini crackers, in selected Homebase stores.
   

3. Promotional Period: To qualify, purchases must be made between 1st November 2014 and 30th November 2014, or the promotion will end if stocks of the crackers run out, whichever is soonest.
   

4. One box of crackers will be awarded per qualifying transaction in selected Homebase stores.
   

5. Crackers will only be distributed to customers of the age of 18 or over. Homebase Ltd. reserves the right to request proof of age and reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
   

6. Scratch card: Crackers will contain a promotional scratch card; upon receiving a scratch card winners must call the Freephone contact number stated on the front panel of the scratch card and must provide their full name, date of birth, main contact number and home address for delivery over the phone.

7. Winners will then be asked to send the winning scratch card in order to claim their prize to a Freepost address provided when calling the Freephone number.

8. Winning scratch cards have been distributed at random under independent supervision.

9. Prize Fund: There are 100 winning scratch cards. The prize pool amounts to: 100 7" screen 16GB Kindle Fire HD Tablet.
   

10. Amazon devices are given away on behalf of UK Gold Services Limited ("UKTV"). Amazon is not a sponsor of the 25 days of Christmas Promotion with Gold.

11. Final Claim By Date: Last date for prize claims by phone is 16th January 2015, and scratch card must be received by post within 14 working days. Prizes will be sent out within 28 days upon receipt and validation of the winning scratch card. Photocopies will not be accepted.
    

12. General: Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless stipulated otherwise.
    

13. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible claims will be deemed invalid.
    

14. The Promoter's decision is final in all promotional matters.
    

15. Winners may be asked to take part in publicity with no recompense.
    

16. Winners name and counties will be available on goldtv.co.uk/winners within 3 months of the closing date.
    

17. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
    

18. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter & Homebase Ltd (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) a prize.
    

19. The Promoter & Homebase Ltd reserves the right to verify all claims including but not limited to asking for address, identity and (which they must provide within 14 working days) and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation this clause.
    

20. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoter (or Homebase Ltd), or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
    

21. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
    

22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.
